International Appointments Bulletin: 29 January 2026

Chief of the Staff Commissioner Edward Hill shares the latest appointments bulletin from International Headquarters.

It is my privilege to share with you information regarding international appointments and promotions proposed by the International Appointments Board and agreed by the General.

Effective 1 May 2026

Colonels Chatonda and Joyce Theu, officers of the Malawi Territory currently serving respectively as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, Uganda Territory, are appointed as Territorial Leaders of the Malawi Territory; Colonel Chatonda Theu as Territorial Commander and Colonel Joyce Theu as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. 

Lieut-Colonels John and Brenda Murray, officers of the Canada and Bermuda Territory currently serving respectively as Territorial Secretary for Communications and Director of International Development in that territory, are appointed as Territorial Leaders of the Uganda Territory; Lieut-Colonel John Murray as Territorial Commander and Lieut-Colonel Brenda Murray as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel.

Majors David and Jean Erickson, officers of the USA Southern Territory, currently serving respectively as Territorial Secretary for Business Administration/Secretary for Education and Territorial Secretary for Programme/Territorial War Cry Editor, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand Territory, are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Bangladesh Territory. They will succeed Majors Gabriel and Chaya Dewri who will take new appointments in their home territory.

Effective 1 June 2026

Lieut-Colonels Andrew and Darlene Morgan, officers of the Canada and Bermuda Territory currently serving respectively as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries/Territorial Secretary for Spiritual Life Development, Italy and Greece Territory, are appointed as International Secretaries for Administration and Personnel, International Headquarters. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of commissioner; Lieut-Colonel Andrew Morgan on 1 June 2026 and Lieut-Colonel Darlene Morgan on 2 June 2026. They will succeed Commissioners Kelvin and Cheralynne Pethybridge who will retire from active service on 31 May 2026. 

Majors Cinzia and Samuel Walzer, officers of the Switzerland, Austria and Hungary Territory, currently serving respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Mission, Italy and Greece Territory; are appointed as Territorial Leaders of the Italy and Greece Territory; Major Cinzia Walzer as Territorial Commander and Major Samuel Walzer as Territorial Leader for Leader Development. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of lieut-colonel.  

Majors Francisco and Patricia Paredes, officers of the South America West Territory, currently serving respectively as Divisional Commander and Divisional Secretary of Mission and Women’s Ministry, South America East Territory, are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Italy and Greece Territory.
