International Appointments Bulletin: 5 June 2025

Chief of the Staff Commissioner Edward Hill shares the latest appointments bulletin from International Headquarters.

It is my privilege to share with you information regarding international appointments and promotions proposed by the International Appointments Board and agreed by the General.

Effective 1 October 2025

Colonels John and Lani Chamness, officers of the USA Western Territory, currently serving respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Spiritual Life Development, Canada and Bermuda Territory, are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries/Territorial Secretary for Leader Development (Officers), Australia Territory. Colonel John will succeed Colonel Winsome Merrett, who will retire from active service on 30 September 2025.

Major Margaret McLeod, an officer of the Canada and Bermuda Territory currently serving as Assistant Training Principal/Mission and Ministry Formation Coordinator in that territory, is appointed as Chief Secretary, Canada and Bermuda Territory. Major McLeod will take up her new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel.
