Themed Intero, the 2026 Mission Conference is an invitation to wholeness. Drawn from the Latin root meaning ‘between, among, within’, Intero reminds us that faith flourishes in the shared life of the body of Christ. We will be called inwards – towards authentic spiritual depth and connection – and outwards – towards communities that embody resilience, relevance and restoration.
We are delighted to welcome Dave Csinos, who will help shape our thinking about how faith can flourish in the interconnectedness of our lives.
Returning this year is Steve Rouse, who is Church Team Director at London Institute of Contemporary Christianity, as well as being a Baptist pastor at his local church in South London. Steve will help us to see how we can turn our Sunday ministry into a tool that will help our congregations on a Monday.
We will also be joined by Chine Macdonald, Director of Theos, the religion and society think tank. A regular contributor to 'Thought for the Day' on Radio 4's 'Today' programme, she is an author and speaker at a number of festivals including 'Greenbelt'. She will bring us clarity and focus as we seek to serve the communities in which we live.
We are also delighted to welcome Territorial Mission Officer Major Ann Montgomery. She has vast experience not only as a corps officer, but also as a divisional officer. She will be spending focused time with our divisional mission officers and our area officers, but will also be speaking to us about how we can take our learnings at the conference into our local mission settings.
We’ll be exploring six streams that weave together elements of the Mission Service, alongside our friends from William Booth College, Communications and Business Administration. Together these streams will form a picture of the Church as an interwoven whole.
