Homelessness Sunday Resources

Resources to raise awareness of homelessness, foster prayerful reflection, and inspire your community to take meaningful steps.

If you’re planning worship, leading a small group, organising a community event or looking for ways to connect your community with local mission, these resources are for you.

Homelessness can feel like a complex issue to address. This collection has been created to help you engage with it in a way that is biblical, practical and hopeful.

Available from early September 2026:

  • Prayer and discernment toolkit with prayers, reflection prompts and discussion questions to help your community pray about homelessness and consider its response.
  • Flexible sermon starter for you to confidently teach on homelessness through a biblical lens.
  • Five short films from across the territory sharing stories of people, places and ministries connected to homelessness (with ideas of how you could use them).
  • Bible study to take discussions and prayers around homelessness into small groups.
  • New song ‘In His Name’ written for Homelessness Sunday.
  • PowerPoint templates to adapt as needed.

The prayer is that these resources will help us all grow in understanding, challenge stigma and discern how God may be calling us to participate in his work of hope, justice and restoration.

You might use these resources on or around Homelessness Sunday (4 October 2026) or at another point in the year – everything is flexible enough to be adapted!
