Celebrating Adults in Later Life

This page will help you celebrate, encourage and affirm the older people within your local setting.

You could use the material at any point in the year. It would work in a variety of settings on a special weekend, a dedicated Sunday or in weekday groups. You might choose to use it around the International Day of Older People (1 October).

Taking a new arrangement of the song ‘As the varied way of life we journey’ as the starting point, this resource invites us all to reflect on the journey of life:

  • The ups and downs
  • The ‘crossroads moments’
  • The milestones and markers
