Join in with our Saturday morning prayer walk at home using the prayer prompts in the route below.
Our prayer walk will start at 10.30am from outside the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Before we commence our journey to the International Convention Centre, we will thank God for the blessings of Friday’s concert, for the opportunity to witness and pray during our walk, for those journeying to Together 2025 and for an outpouring of the Spirit on those who will gather in-person and those joining online.
We will then make our way to Birmingham Crown Court where our prayers will be for those who seek justice and reconciliation.
A few more steps will take us to Birmingham Cathedral. Our prayers here will celebrate the faith communities of the second city and the strong ecumenical links that exist between the churches. We will pray for the continuing nurturing of disciples who make up the body of Christ in the UK.
We move towards Birmingham Town Hall and the Council House building. We will pause to pray for those in government – local and national – for wisdom and discernment for all those with the responsibility for governing our villages, towns, cities, counties and countries and for world leaders. May they serve others without discrimination.
We now move towards Brindley Place, the venue for several outreach activities this afternoon providing opportunities to make links with people that will leave a legacy in the area long after Together 2025 has concluded. We will pray that the opportunity to share the good news in this space will be embraced and well received.
The final leg of our journey takes us to the entrance of the International Convention Centre. We will pray for everything that will happen within the ICC over the next two days. May the power and presence of God be tangible in all that takes place and may the impact of these days be felt in corps, centres and communities around this territory as we return to share the good news, serve others without discrimination, nurture disciples of Jesus, care for creation and seek justice and reconciliation.
